Works by Nicola Padovani & Kouzo Takeuchi
“Capricci” are unusual, fantastic, bizarre compositions, with a long standing tradition in the art history. Nicola Padovani and Kouzo Takeuchi will recreate inside the gallery a sort of contemporary capriccio, pursuing a dialogue between East and West.
Nicola Padovani, here presents a series of landscape-panels, where very different elements, often belonging to unrelated context, are located in the same scene. Each element is positioned by the artist within its own spatial level, becoming itself a different space, like theatrical wings, which open one close to another. Inside this imaginary landscapes, we find the Modern Ruins by the Japanese Kouzo Takeuchi. Fragile fetishes of human evolution just like the material they are made of, the white porcelain.
Courtesy to Fondazione Federica Galli, will be possible to admire a group of etchings made by Great Masters (Goya, Piranesi, Tiepolo..) showing the paramount art of the capriccio during its golden age.
