The relationship between seduction and animal nature is at the centre of Martha Pachón Rodríguez’s research. The Colombian artist, Italian by adoption, in her porcelain works takes forms from the natural world to create new and bizarre ones, between reality and fantasy in dialogue with the “Magic Realism” of Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The vibrant pigments used to embellish the artifacts are inspired by the textile traditions of Andean America and especially the Caribbean.
